We made a not so fun grilled pork recipe last Wednesday that we had to drown it out with sugar. This is something we whipped up using ingredients from the fridge.
First Recipe: Chicken Wings and Leche Flan
Elaine version of food again!
It’s only now that I found time to write again. I was busy on things that took some time to finish. At the same time, my husband was the one cooking at home. I realized during those times that cooking was calming me down. I was working the typical 9 to 5 job before which made me overthink a lot of things. Now I’m trying hands on being a home maker/housewife and cook again this week.
Here’s my attempt to get back in the kitchen. 🙂
Real Life First: Stuff I updated when I got married
*** Updated the BIR part***
After the wedding, everything was back to normal. It didn’t feel any different when I was still single, aside from moving out of my aunt’s house. It’s probably because I was still using my surname for the most part of our first year.
Then, I had to update my status and name in my government forms. It’s dreadful. Sharing the boring stuff for people who needs it.
First Recipe: Tacos (Elaine’s version)
Instead of eating out, we chose to cook Mexican food at home. Quick, easy and delicious, tacos is a great dinner/snack. And of course, cheap!
First Cosmetics: Lóreal’s Color Riche Tint Caresse
Lóreal’s Tint Caresse had me curious when they launched it. It’s the first powder lipstick that I heard of. So, I went out of my way to buy and try it for myself.
First Food Trip: Urameshi-ya!
When it comes to Japanese food, Little Tokyo in Makati is one of the places that you need to try. We’ve been to different restaurants there, but it’s our first time to eat at Urameshi-ya.
First Recipe: Tortang Talong!
We decided to cook again to enjoy the experience of cooking your own food and save money (because fecha de peligro – 2 more days before pay day). Tortang talong na may Giniling na Baboy (Eggplant Omelet with Ground Pork) is quick, easy and cheap!
First Food Trip: Xiaolongbao, Sashimi and Breezer
We started the year of with a lot of new things to try out: Bacardi Breezer for New Year’s Day, Japanese Food the day after and Xiaolongbao for the year’s first Monday.
First Travel: Tipid Guide to La Union
There are a couple of surfing spots in the Philippines that we wanted to go to. Back in October, we went to Baler (in Aurora) and it was my first time to surf. I don’t know how to swim so it was a bit of a struggle for me to keep my balance and focus on standing up on the board as well as keeping afloat when wiped out by the wave. More on that when we go back there.
This time around, we went to San Juan, La Union.
First Post
So today’s the last day of 2015! What better way to start the year than to work on a new blog this time, recalling all my first time and sharing it with everybody. Hope you enjoy all my succeeding posts and let me know your thoughts on these. 🙂
